Please compliment the owner for his great taste in cars if I can say so myself (especially in the US), then slap him in the face for those wheels. Also, do you really need those hideous side markers?

Kinja'd!!!

Badge should be silver and not red, but I’ll give it a pass for now as this car is silver itself.

Agreed on all counts. I don’t get the wheels at all. I guess the side markers were to make it U.S. legal. We require those here. But, I don’t know why they would have to be added to a 25+ year old car, though. I’ve been considering importing a 106 Rallye myself because I think I’d be the only one to bother and I love those cars.

You’d be the first with a 106. The 106 was introduced in 1991, so it’s 25 years old now. The rallye came (in the Netherlands) in 1993, so you’d have wait a bit for one of those.

I did find this 106 XSi from January 1992 (=built in 1991) near me. With new belts and all. The XSi was the predecessor of the GTi and is actually marginally quicker than the Rallye with less hp but more torque and only ~30 kilos more weight (more creature comforts). No price listed but can’t be too expensive.

Good lord so many goodness... Just those wheels on that Pantera. Those wheels on that CX. Those wheels on the 205 GTI may look wrong but are somewhat appropriate as they are Speedlines.

Haha. I know. That Moretti is there every year and it always gets my blood pumping. It’s magnificent. I don’t think I’d ever seen an ASA GT in person before. Amazing, but I might take the Abarth first. It’s mind-boggling seeing all those cars in one place. I don’t think the general public who are wandering around have any idea what they’re in the presence of. I still don’t like the way the Speedlines look.

I just scrolled through both your posts, and I must say some drool reached by desk, haha. It looks like you had a great day! Some really awesome rare cars too!

By the way, that gray Series 2 DS with the Dutch front license plate sure looks pristine, despite the fact that it has been in the Netherlands from 1967 till 2012, according to the license plate.

I really love the stripes and the white wheels on the Rallye, so that puts me over the top for one of those. 106's are still so reasonably priced, so it would really be worth it. That car is a total deal. It’s a hell of a lot of fun for under 1,000 Euros.

I look forward to this show all year. It’s an incredible mix of every kind of car I adore. I just keep walking around and around revisiting each one.

Don’t underestimate those 106s though. I do believe the Rallyes and GTis will appreciate.

(I found this listing with three 106 Rallyes, all with a bit of work. http://link.marktplaats.nl/m1081377183 Had I had more time, had I not had three 205s and had I been a better wrencher (valve stem seals or piston rings in one, transmission out of the car in another) I’d be tempted)

All I probably could be feeling was something like...

Kinja'd!!!

Those Speedlines certainly don’t improve it’s look over the standard Speedlines. But at least these are period-correct and maybe even an original option. The wheels on that CX are from at least one decade later. That DeTomaso? At least two decades...

I didn’t realize the Speedlines were period correct. The originals on those cars do look so much better. The CX wheels are ridiculous. At least the Pantera ones look ok and they have the Detomaso logo on them. Still, like the GTI, I don’t get why you need aftermarket wheels on one of those cars.

I agree. Especially when 205's become harder and harder to find.

That’s a nice package if you’re looking for a good project(s). You don’t want to double your stable? I’d almost take one off your hands, but importing a car like that that needs a lot of work makes no sense.

Kinja'd!!! Jonee > Jobjoris
11/09/2016 at 03:56

Kinja'd!!!1

It’s positively insane. I can’t believe this isn’t a dream. Everyone underestimated how many angry (and gullible), white men are left here. And, half the country really believes we’ve gotten too liberal, and things should be like they were back in the 1950's when women and non-whites knew their place and left things to white dudes. It’s depressing. She’s going to end up with more votes, I think, because people in cities voted for her fairly overwhelmingly. But, he’ll have won all the rural areas by a large margin and especially states like Michigan that have lost a lot of manufacturing jobs. He successfully convinced people that he’ll bring those jobs back. It’s not going to happen, though. Crazy day. Well, I might need that room in Breda longer than I was anticipating. How easy is it to get Dutch citizenship?

Kinja'd!!! Jobjoris > Jonee
11/09/2016 at 05:01

Kinja'd!!!1

That probably is the most disturbing part: Making all kinds of promises without a decent backed up plan of how to achieve this. The ideas our political parties are being re-calculated by het “Centraal Plan Bureau” to see if it’s eligible. It’s not mandatory but if you don’t it’s a bit odd. Although one of the parties not doing this is getting bigger every year ;-)

Getting citizenship is hard for people from some countries. Yours shouldn’t be that hard as you are no fortune-seeker and won’t turn to welfare services that easy. I think. Your room is ready.

Kinja'd!!! Jonee > Jobjoris
11/09/2016 at 23:21

Kinja'd!!!1

Yeah, he has no real plans as far as we know. It’s a complete mystery what he’ll be like, really. His outrageous promises like building the wall and deporting every illegal alien, are impossibly impractical to implement. And bringing back all the manufacturing jobs we’ve lost is simply impossible. It’s just not going to happen unless all of a sudden Americans will accept being paid like poor Chinese workers.

Really? Each party has to have their platforms approved by a committee? That’s crazy. That’s supposedly what our press is supposed to be, but no one trusts them any more. But, Americans also don’t trust the government, or committees in general. We don’t trust anyone anymore, actually, which is why we elected Trump because apparently we said, fuck it, and elected the least trustworthy person ever to run for president. Which is saying something, obviously.

I’m thinking of going into business with Freek. I don’t know if that helps or hurts my case.

Kinja'd!!! Jobjoris > Jonee
11/10/2016 at 04:41

Kinja'd!!!1

It could all be easier than we’d expect. I did announce already in 98 that if he’d run for President he’d be doing so for the republicans as they are stupid.

Kinja'd!!!

So let’s hope this all was strategy to get elected and now he’s just going to do a decent job.

It’s not “approved”, just assassin feasibility.

I’ll email Freek’s number. Great job. The location scouting/work balance is great, the entire winter off. Expect to work during X-mas though, he’s pushing a lot of meat then!

Kinja'd!!! Jonee > Jobjoris
11/11/2016 at 00:57

Kinja'd!!!1

He was liberal and a supporter of the Clintons before he became a Republican loon. So, maybe he’ll do the right thing and go back to being progressive. Or, at least not a maniac. Just with his temperament, I can’t imagine him working with the other side very much. He thinks everything he does is right.

Assassin feasibility!?!?

Well, I imagine when we grow the biz, we’ll hire people to push meat.

He is basically a gingerbread man. Looks-wise and spine-wise. Plus you need a drink after taking him in.

Ah, I get it. All platforms must be feasible. That makes sense. Most of the bullshit the clown proposed will be completely impossible and I’m not sure he’s even interested in pursuing them. They’re even saying now that the wall will be a “virtual” wall, not a real one made of bricks and concrete. Hilarious.

Female assistants to push meat? I’m all for it. Will that make us pimps, though?

Haha. What? A moat. Like around a castle. I don’t think he needs to do magic to light it on fire, but I like the idea of him doing magic tricks to distract us from all the damage he’ll do as president. He could pull rabbits out of his hair as he repeals Obamacare.

I imagined a moat with burning oil. Then all thoughts tend to go everywhere and I could see Hans Klok (the magician above) sliding, floating towards us through that fire. He used Pamela Anderson for a while in is Vegas shows.

Kinja'd!!!1

Wow, I really like the image. I haven’t heard of that guy. Is he still in Vegas? I sure hope Trump doesn’t have the powers of levitation and firestarting. You figure we’d have already seen him use them if he did. But, maybe that’s his plan for ISIS and that’s why he hasn’t told us what he’s going to do, yet. That might just be enough to get him re-elected as many times as he wants.

Kinja'd!!! Jobjoris > Jonee
11/20/2016 at 04:08

Kinja'd!!!1

Seeing Trump’s hair with a bit of wind should be both fun and scarry as well. Maybe US troops fighting ISIS should adopt the same hair-do?

Hans did Vegas for half a year I think 10 years ago. That Pamela Andersen part was awesome, at a radio show they both went to people thought they were having an affair and they didn’t deny it instantly. Quite the rumor started which ought to be good for selling his Vegas tickets. If any of you Americans would have called to an average Dutchie it would be clear it was just some sort of a publicity stunt as Hans is totally gay.

It’s not a bad idea. It’s a pretty frightening coif. No one can figure out what’s going on with his hair. It seems to go in every direction at once. Having everyone get that hair would be like North Korea and Kim Jong Un’s haircut. Isn’t that mandatory there? I know he and Trump have a lot in common.

That’s very funny. He and Pam would have made a nice couple, too. Maybe he swung both ways. And, Pam, despite her buxom looks, was as tough as a dude.

I don’t get that hair, when he was younger the hair was way more normal, wasn’t it? Not sure about hair-do’s being mandatory in North Korea, I do know that kind of environments/cultures generate little creativity so people probably don’t learn to do otherwise in the first place!

Oh no, he never swung both ways, believe me. I’m sure a lot of people believe Pam would be the one to cure gayness but somehow she always scared the shit out of me. Only when she played in Tool Time I was impressed by her looks.
